Biography
Matthias Zeeman is a senior scientist at the University of Freiburg since March 2022. He previously worked as scientist and post-doc at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2012-2021), Oregon State University, USA (2009-2012) and the Paul Scherrer Institute, Switzerland (2009). He studied ecosystem physiology (Dr. sc., 2008) at ETH Zurich and Environmental Sciences/Hydrology (MSc, 2003) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Research
Matthias' role as Data Scientist builds on his experience in developing new methods for observing land-atmosphere exchange, climatic interactions and atmospheric boundary layer dynamics in complex environments, including urban and mountainous landscape.
