Biography
Lisa Winkler completed an integrated Masters in Physics at Imperial College London in 2021. In 2024, she began her PhD at the Chair of Environmental Meteorology at the University of Freiburg.
Research
Lisa’s research explores the relationship between urban form and urban climate, with a particular focus on how urban morphometric parameters can enhance urban weather and climate models. Her Master’s thesis focussed on linking urban transport modelling to global carbon budgets. Her broader research interests include sustainable urban development and climate change mitigation and adaptation.
